About the Role:

Vitacore is seeking a proactive and people-focused People & Talent Generalist who is passionate about Talent Acquisition and building exceptional teams.

This role will focus heavily on recruitment and hiring across multiple departments, while also supporting the broader human resources function. The ideal candidate enjoys identifying great talent, creating strong candidate experiences, and building structured HR processes that support a growing organisation.

In addition to recruitment, this role will support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management processes, employee relations, benefits, and compliance with Canadian employment legislation. As the organisation grows, this role may also expand to include additional HR responsibilities such as payroll administration.

This position works closely with leadership and department managers to ensure hiring strategies, HR processes, and people initiatives align with Vitacore’s long-term growth.

Responsibilities include:

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
  • Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple departments.
  • Draft job descriptions and job postings aligned with business needs.
  • Source candidates through job boards, networks, and recruitment platforms.
  • Screen applicants and conduct initial interviews.
  • Coordinate and manage interview processes with hiring managers.
  • Maintain clear communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Support hiring across British Columbia and Canada, with potential expansion into U.S. hiring.

Employee Lifecycle Management:
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Prepare employment agreements, offer letters, and onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Support employee departures including exit documentation and procedures.
  • Assist managers with performance management processes, including PIPs and disciplinary processes.
  • Support organizational changes including restructures and layoffs when required.

HR Operations & Compliance:
  • Ensure HR practices comply with British Columbia and Canadian employment legislation.
  • Maintain HR documentation, employee records, and internal HR systems.
  • Develop and maintain HR templates, SOPs, and internal policies.
  • Assist employees with requests such as employment verification letters, immigration. documentation, and other HR documentation.
  • Respond to employee HR inquiries in a professional and confidential manner.

HR Programs & Process Improvement:
  • Help build scalable HR processes that support company growth.
  • Improve hiring workflows and candidate experience.
  • Support internal initiatives related to culture, engagement, and employee events.
  • Assist with HR reporting and workforce planning.

Future Responsibilities (as role evolves):
  • Support payroll administration in partnership with Finance.
  • Assist with benefits administration and vendor coordination.
  • Contribute to broader HR strategy and organizational development initiatives.
  • Support in-process production inspections.
  • Assist in document control activities within the QMS.
  • Support non-destructive testing as part of final product inspection.
  • Monitor production paperwork and ensure compliance with all specifications and procedures.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Contribute to the Quality Department's objectives and uphold Vitacore’s quality policy.
  • Perform other quality related tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CHRP or CPHR designation (or working toward certification) strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of British Columbia employment standards and HR best practices.
  • Experience hiring across Canada; U.S. hiring experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
  • $65,000 - $80,000, experience dependent.
  • Health & Dental benefits.
  • 10 days paid vacation.
